French stories

5 groups instinctively wrote their stories in French and then translated them word by word in spite of the advice given at the beginning of the activity.
Another mistake that was more common this year than in the past was the difficulty in translating or not the names of famous places; here is a significant example: « Les Champs-Elysées » was translated into « the street of fields elysés »!
Otherwise, many groups didn't understand at first that they were asked to write short stories and thus to add details and make longer sentences. Imagination and Maths don't necessarily mix in our pupils' minds.
