Our Gymkhana
When we told our students about the gymkhana, at first they did not like the idea, because they did not know how to invent the problems, either the clues from one point to the next.
So the teachers made a real mathematical gymkhana in the centre of the city for our own students. We spend with them a day in the centre of Sevilla. They spent from 9:30 a.m. to 14:00 doing math, trying to solve the problems, and they had so much fun looking for the answers that next day they ask for the teacher to do a new one.
They also agree in doing the gymkhana for the French students, now they had an idea how to prepare it.
Our idea of the Gymkhana has had more difficulties than we thought when we planned.
We are not expert in computers and most of the problems we have had, are related to the computers. But we are glad because we are motived and we are learning a lot. We did not how to create a .pdf file, we did not how to use google maps.
Our students supposed to have finished first week of December, but working in English was slower than we thought.
The students used translator web, but the results were very strange sentences, so we decided that they should start without using the translator webs. |
